Dr. Sharee Wright is an established vascular surgeon specializing in all aspects of vascular and
endovascular surgery, with a particular focus on diabetic limb salvage, aortoiliac disease, venous disease, and carotid disease. She earned her medical degree from the MUSC College of Medicine and completed her residency in the MUSC Department of Surgery. Dr. Wright further honed her expertise through a vascular surgery fellowship at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Wright currently serves as the Vice Chair for Disparities Education and Cultural Dexterity in the MUSC Department of Surgery, where she has significantly enhanced educational content to help department members better understand the traditions, values, and challenges of the
patient populations they serve.
Recently, Dr. Wright joined the MUSC College of Medicine Dean’s office as the Senior Associate Dean for Pathway Programs. As a product of one of MUSC College of Medicine Pathway Programs, she is dedicated to preparing promising students for the rigorous curriculum of medical school. In her new role, she aims to build on existing programs to increase the number of students entering the medical profession, striving for adequate representation of the
physician workforce in relation to the state's population.
