Dr. Ramkrishna Patel is a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist with The Vascular Institute at AMI, a multispecialty practice consisting of 9 Interventional Radiologists and 6 Vascular Surgeons. He graduated from Sidney Kimmel Medical College with Magna Cum Laude honors, and spent the following 6 years at Albany Medical Center, completeing a surgical internship and integrated residency in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. He became interested in endovascular interventions as a medical student as he participated in research regarding complex aortic interventions. This interest continued as he further helped publish articles regarding TEVAR with stenting vs Carotid-subclavian Bypass as a resident in Albany. Dr. Patel's passion for vascular drew him to join The Vascular Institute straigth out of training, where he enjoys providing complete clinical care with a particular emphasis on critical limb-threatening ischemia and wound healing through both arterial and venous interventions.
